Burscott Class
Welcome to the brilliant Burscott! This year is going to be full of learning, fun and creative activities! From hand-writing to phonics, from Maths and PE, the children of Year 1 and 2 are immersed in wonderful experiences and activities throughout the year to consolidate the key learning that takes place in the classroom.
This year, PE is timetabled for Mondays and Thursdays and Forest School sessions take place on Tuesday afternoons. Their PE kit will remain in the classroom during the terms then will be returned at half-terms and end of terms.
Homework (Maths activities) and Spellings (in line with Little Wandle Phonics) are set each Monday and are due back by the following Monday. Alongside this, please make sure that children are reading and practising times tables daily. Using 'sound talk' and blending tricky words is vital for the children's progression so please read at home!
We use the Class Dojo app to keep you up to date with the latest announcements and reminders, so please make sure that you have downloaded the app and look out for messages from Burscott, alongside the important messages to be found in the weekly Friday Newsletter!
