Parkham Primary School is a small County Primary school
housed in pleasant modernised Victorian buildings. The old school house is used as part of the school, giving us two classrooms,
an assembly room/dining room, a small library, an ICT suite and offices. We have a further detached classroom which is known
as The Elliott Building which was completely refurbished and re-fitted in the summer of 2007. This classroom is used as the
infant’s classroom (Foundation and Key Stage I). Adjoining this classroom is a large covered veranda which doubles the area
for the children to use. There is a garden and quiet area as well as a large playground. We use the adjoining village hall for
our PE lessons or plays and use a nearby field for outdoor games and sports day. Our new entrance foyer, offices and children's
cloakroom make an exciting addition to the school - with more improvements planned! The school has approximately 60 children
who come from Parkham village or the surrounding areas. |
